Accountant Consultant

Accountant Consultant is needed to perform the following duties:

  • Comply with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforce adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions.
  • Answer accounting procedure questions by researching and interpreting accounting policy and regulations.
  • Responsible for filing sales tax and income tax returns for clients
  • Process payroll for clients, managing payroll register and provide payroll related reports.
  • Maintaining an effective system of internal controls, ensuring compliance with Corporate policies
  • Preparation of financial statements as per GAAP.
  • Analyze financial information and summarize financial status.
  • Maintain journal entries and all general ledgers and ensure reconciliation of all statements as per GAAP.
  • Develop various systems to improve efficiency of accounting process.
  • Accounts payable and Accounts Receivable management.
  • Various accounting reports like Customer wise Aging Reporting, Fixed Asset Register, Working Capital requirement assessment etc.
  • Manage client’s books of accounts and provide financial statements.
  • Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
  • Examine statements to ensure accuracy and prepare financial reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing account information and needs.
  • Ensure proper functioning of all aspects of accounting operations and recording of all accounting transactions for the operational entity, leading internal audits and developing audit work plans designed to accomplish audit objectives & mitigate corporate risk
  • Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures
  • Review accounting documents to ensure accuracy of information and calculations and make or direct corrective entries
  • Monitor all reporting request and prepare reports on a regular basis to ensure resolution.
  • Perform regular analysis on accounting issues and resolve it efficiently.
  • Maintain financial security by following internal control.
  • Secure financial information by completing data base backups
  • Establish procedures and internal controls to ensure compliance with Sarbanes Oxley, including developing and implementing remediation steps when needed.
  • Ensure SOX and internal control compliance standards are maintained
  • Compute taxes owed, prepare tax returns, and ensure prompt payment.
  • Prepare payments by verifying documentation, and requesting disbursements.
  • Work with corporate accounting and accounting policy to understand transactions that the company enters and the accounting treatment / disclosure in accordance with GAAP
  • General Ledger accounting management
  • Work on current financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statement and other reports
  • Responsible for document financial transactions by entering account information
  • Develop accurate financial reports and targets, tracking, and reporting, analyzing actual performance.
  • Assist with the budget development and compare the different types of budgets for effective application.
  • Assist in the preparation of annual overhead budget, operational budgets and inventory projections
  • Analyze and monitor budgets and expenditures for compliance with fiscal accountability and reporting requirements
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, review professional societies.
  • Maintain accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures
  • Guide accounting clerical staff by coordinating activities
  • Develops and implements policies and procedures for the department to meet specific goals and objectives of the function; modifies goals in response to functional changes.
  • Develop specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish your work.
  • Develop accounting systems and documents to support the input and handling of financial data and reports.
  • Preparation of audit schedules for various internal and financial audits.
  • Identify and implement ways to improve existing processes.
  • Develop various internal control programs and maintenance programs.
  • Ensure implementation of audit recommendations and help corporations mitigate corporate risk.
  • Prepare worksheet as per GAAP for record income, cost of sales, fixed assets, inventory and other major account heads.
  • Monitor inventory of stock, prepare status reports and fixed assets.
  • Ensure documentation provided by corporations meets the audit guidelines of GAAP.

Bachelor Degree is required in  Finance or Accounting
